CashLadder is an independent, advertising-supported website. Savers face a maze of APYs, terms and early-withdrawal rules. We build simple calculators and sourced guides so you can compare options with the actual dollars, not slogans.

What we publish

A CD ladder planner, a HYSA versus CD comparison, an emergency-fund target calculator, an APY comparison tool, and guides covering FDIC insurance, penalties and ladder strategies.

How we research

APY and penalty examples are illustrative. We cite FDIC.gov, the Federal Reserve and IRS publications where rules apply. We never invent bank offers or rates. Every figure that comes from a third party is linked at the bottom of the page where it is used, and every page shows when it was last reviewed. If a carrier, retailer or organisation changes its published information, the official source wins over anything on this site.

How the tools work

All calculators run in your browser. Balances, rates and dates you type are not sent to our servers.

How we make money

CashLadder shows advertising (Google AdSense) and does not accept payment from insurers, brokers, banks or any company in exchange for coverage in our guides. We do not sell leads, and we do not sell or recommend any specific insurance policy or financial product.

If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page. We correct factual mistakes quickly and update the “last updated” date when we do.
